It all started when co-owners Alen Yip and Frank Cheng recognized a missing piece of the Danville eateries. After searching and searching, they found that Danville lacked a restaurant that provided fresh fish in the form of a poke bowl. Recognizing this need for a poke shop, Alen and Frank worked hard to establish a restaurant that provided efficient service and quality fish all for a reasonable price, thus creating Kanpai Poke. With their 15 years of experience in the sushi business, they understand that high quality fish is a must for any delicious seafood recipe.
Very delicious and family run! The raw seafood is always perfect, and the wide variety of toppings for the bowls are tasty as well. A good variety of other, non-poke options for the pickier customers. Great customer service, too. I brought my own glass container to avoid the plastic bowl, and the owner was very accommodating and immediately knew what to do. Highly recommend!
